In 1996, Landmark Engineering Group acquired John Burnidge Surveying of Elgin, Illinois. This office had predominantly been providing surveying services in the Kane County , Chicago NW suburbs areas for over 30 years.

Upon acquisition, Landmark Engineering Group incorporated Civil Engineering to compliment of the surveying services.

Landmark works with architects, commercial developers, residential developers, private businesses and local governments to provide innovative civil engineering solutions for clients in the Chicago region.
